How to add turrets to a scope?

Please forgive my complete noobery here, I have a Burris Fullfield II and I would like to add some turrets with it. Is this something I can do easily? I can't imagine it would be a difficult process but I couldn't find anything on the web that shows how to add them to a scope that does not come with turrets.

Also, where could I purchase the turrets by themselves?

    Thanks

You can't, that is simply not a process you can do. My suggestion is to do tons of research both on here and the snipers hide optic section, learn what goes into good optics, why some features are better than others, what scopes are to be trusted those not. And most importantly, why that it. Then go and take that information and use is to make an informed decision on what is the best scope to buy that fits your Needs (provided you be completely honest with yourself here)

With all that said, I do seem to remember seeing somewhere a product that mounted to the normal windage and elevation turrets that allowed you to make adjustments without a tool (some scopes need a tool of some sort) however I forget where I saw it and doubt it was of any quality. I just looked thru Brownells and saw nothing. for what its worth.

Stoney point used to make extended height knobs that would screw on where the cap normally threads on.
    They were pretty hokey though.

There is another company that makes replacement knobs (starts with a K I think), but these are mainly replacement knobs for scopes that already have finger-turn turrets.

The best solution is to sell the scope and buy another one with the features you want.

Well how about that. I was thinking about getting an SWFA scope anyways, pretty cheap and have heard good things. Should be more than enough for my shooting ability for now.

I think Burris will put "target" knobs on the scope for you for around $80+shipping. I too have a fullfield II, and have toyed with the idea of sending it back to Burris for this mod. Hope this helps.

Did you get the fullfield ii with ballistic plex reticle? If so I'm not sure why you would want knobs. Maybe for windage, but your approximate drop is already factored into the reticle. I believe they used a 62 grain round for their calculations.

I have found it some what hard to use. Its calibrated for a 22-250 approximately and at 14-16 power not at max power (I have a 6.5-20) I wanted to be able to dial.
