I bought it from www.thegunsource.com right before the frenzy. I have been going through hell trying to get this gun. They shipped it to the wrong ffl and it went to Florida. Now I am waiting on them to ship it back to Green Bay, WI and then back to my dealer in Michigan. I am going crazy. Not to knock them but they have not really done much to reverse the issuethey have caused. Especially since I talked to them 3 times before the gun shipped to tell them they had the wronmg FFL.

lol sorry Im frustrated and needed to vent. I have been waiting on this thing for over a month.

Should have bought it from Grant. I had zero issues when I did business from him and very happy with my purchase.

My M&P15T approaches .50 MOA all day long, but only with 69gr. SMK's.. I'm extremely happy with my 1/9".. but I probably just got very lucky with it, my other AR, also a 1/9" can't seem to get under 1.0 MOA with any load.
Oh, and it can also stabilize the 75 grainers, just not as accurate as the 69's (75gr. TAP avg. .80 MOA). Haven't tried 77's yet, I know they won't shoot well...
But, my rifle shoots 55's about the same as it does 75's, and prefers 68, 69, and 70 gr. rounds the best. (BTW, all groups listed are average of three 5 shot groups at 100 yards with rifle locked in a rest and a high powered optic).
Have fun with that! Sure is a looker - I almost bought one, but prefered the mid-length free floated MRF on the T model.

Damascus, what do you have for sights on your S&W?

Also, the quote: "No need for 1/7, it's a 16" carbine that will probably see mostly 55gr ammo. I've never understood the 1/9 bashing when the rifle in question isn't a precision rig...", by bullitt5172 seems to me to be right on.

I just re-read my post and I meant to say that 1/7 isn't needed. Most of my AR's are 1/9 and they shoot nearly everything accurately. My MP15X is a great gun!

When I'm developing my handloads I use a Nikon Monarch 4-16x42 for more precision off of the benchrest, but it's everyday optic is a Trijicon ACOG TA01NSN "special forces" 4x32 w/ mini-red dot.

(Took this pic on Halloween hence the skull on the table lol)
Oh, and I wasn't disagreeing with Bullitt, I was just stating that 1/9" rifles can shoot bullets much heavier than 55gr. and be tackdrivers, a lot of people seem to think that if you're going to shoot anything heavier than 55, you need a 1/7"... IMO, 1/7 is not necessary unless you're shooting over 70gr. most of the time. I can post some targets as well, showing how mine groups, when I first got it and seen that it could get down near .5" groups, I was speechless, I'd never heard of a carbine with a lightweight barrel that could do that, chrome lined especially!

Recent purchase S&W M&P15X for $1300 in Florida. Hard to find anything down here. Now I need some mags. Perhaps 20s or 30s. What type do you guys recommend? I need to act fast. Also any ammo recommendations for SHTF?
