    That's very interesting. I'd wondered a little bit about the relative size of the bolt faces, but that is the bolt that came in my Beowulf, purchased (I thought) new in 2007.

    I've called Bill's office and he's out for SHOT until next Thursday. I most certainly will be following up on this.

    size

    Keeping with my original Q do you are some one else have a .50 case to get a size off of?I need to know for the bolt face size. Short of me buying some ammo. Thanks

    Just back from SHOT and this is a priority.

    For quick reference your bolt face diameter should be 0.454" while the case rim is 0.441". The difference is to allow the rim to pivot out of the bolt recess without binding when it gets across the angle.

    Great round, a lot of fun to shoot. Will definetly put a smile on the face of any recoil junkie like myself. Not sure I'd want to tackle one set to full auto though
