Exactly! I just picked up a used Casio Exilim 14.1MP camera that shoots HD video for $40! I got it specifically for AR mounting and figure if something happens to it, no big loss.

Looking forward to your mount becoming available. You can put me in line for one!

I'm sure people with deeper pockets would like your suggestion, but that's not the market I want to compete in, it has plenty of players already with companies like Go-Pro and the like.

    Thank you for your suggestion.

Well, got out today for a second test of the mount, away from anything that could have an affect on the audio.

Pleased to report that the metallic 'twang' that was heard in the first video was actually coming from that big metal canopy I was shooting next to, and not from the mount itself.

Looks like the mount will go into production very soon, gotta first find some retailers interested enough to justify placing a big order with the machine shop.....cross your fingers for me.

BTW, I did come up with a catchy name for the mount... "The Talon", it kind of goes with the tomahawks I sell at local gun shows, and online.

I got one from him back in September. He was selling on ebay. It is a definite improvement over the Strikemark.

Thank you Hmac, how is it working out for you?

I use mine at every Tactical .22 match and when I take the ARs out for a workout. Posted a bunch of videos of the .22 matches at the Rio Salado range not far from me on youtube, for those that want to see it in action. The recent ones I've shot with my Nikon Coolpix S8200 HD pocket camera.

FYI, to everyone else: I'm having an ebay sale over the holidays.
