frankly, the people who devised .40 short and weak were a bunch of egg heads, experts of nothing.
9mm and 10mm are the only autos you need..
not good enough for you? get yourself some 127gr +p+ and call it a day. 1400fps, 500 ft/lbs and 20 rounds? yes please! (yes, i am talking about 9mm)
just my opinion anyways. CALIBER WARS, INITIATE!

In no way do I make any money from anyone related to the firearms industry.

Does anyone know where i can find numbers/db ratings for 9mm and .40 being shot through an AAC .45 TiRant?
I'm thinking about this same idea and could save myself a lot of time and money by getting one can that will work for multiple guns. And since it's user serviceable i'd even run it on my .22.
EDIT: Never mind i found it... Check out the following link.

osprey 45 dont have to send out for a new can to the ATF if you get a baffle strike, the serial part is seperate?
I currently own 2 AAC Ti-RANT 9x19mm cans, and used to own an Osprey.
The Ti-Rant is better IMHO.
Slightly lighter, shorter, and had no zero shift, also user servicable, cools down faster. However, no matter how hot I got that can, my zero never changed. Looked cooler too.
The Osprey was cheaper, equally quiet, and I could see my sights over the can. Took longer to heat up.
Go with the Ti-RANT .45, and run it on your .40 host.
We miss you, AC.
