    blackdog mags dont fit??

i have a CMMG dedicated 22 upper on a cmmg lower the m4 lep 22.
it came with a cmmg mag i had to file to get to fit in good.

so i went online and ordered 2 blackdog mags one gen 3 32 round and it even says on the recepit it works with cmmg.. and another blackdog mag x form 26 round.

the problem it was very very difficult to get the mags to go into the mag well and getting them out was even more of a pain.
It felt like they were too big for my magwell??

not sure the problem but im sure someone on here know what im talkin about

    thanks
    new guy

    New guy,
Can't speak for the lower, but my CMMG .22lr mags also were a PITA to fit. The mags have molded ''tabs'' along the back ridge that can be filed down. Lord knows why.

I haven't heard the same for Black Dog, so maybe it's the lower? Maybe someone else can pitch in on if this is common.

I've had the same experience with my Sig 522. As well as several AR lowers. If anyone has a fix for this problem, I'd appreciate the information on how to fix it. Thank you

I'm about to build a dedicated .22lr AR, I'd like info as well so I know what not to build with!

    Bad batch of NEW mags?

I bought three from Gun Kings almost 2 years ago, when I was building a TacSol dedicated .22 AR. The smoke-colored 26 rounder that came with the TacSol upper, and the 3 black ones I bought, all fit and function flawlessly.

I wish they made a Lula for 'em - load WITH gloves on, is my admonition - but they've never even caused a misfeed in my AR. I run a complete Aero Precision lower, for reference.

    You have a bad lower.
You can either try to fix everything to work with that lower, or you can try to fix the lower.
Personally, I'd send the bad part back and not dick with the good parts.

    hey me again...

so they mags fit in the mag well now... but only if i take out the bhoa rectangular part and then on the last round the bolt hits the mag and holds back and if you eject mag the bolt slams forward.

this cant be good for the bolt right?

has anyone tried modifying the bhoa to accomedate the black dog mags that dont fit all the way up with the bhoa in place?/

    thanks again

You might find it useful to check www.redi-mag.com for our new
Better-Mag. It helps with some .22 rimfire problems.
