X300 Ultra out!

I've seen pictures of the X300 Ultra fitting in a Safariland 6004 with no modification. Side by side comparisons showed it was a little bit bigger, but dimensions-wise it seemed to pretty close to the original. Of course any RCS or other model specific kydex holsters probably won't work.

I've found that the Safariland specific surefire X200/X300 holster are too tight for my liking around the weapon light. I currently use the ones made for the M3. It's a looser obviously around the light area but with the bale, i still get good retention.

Carlo, thanks for the heads up. When I saw the picture I'm pretty sure the specific 6004 model wasn't stated, but chances are it was meant for the M3/M3X like you were saying.

From what I remember of the older SF X200s they had a narrower bezel than the X300 so that would explain it. Or at least if I remember correctly the X200A (narrower bezel) was designed more for throw while the X200B (wider bezel) was for spill.

Going from site to site I hadn't seen any of the previous model X300s available. I guess I missed out on the price drop as they probably all got bought up already.

If someone can mod a SureFire X300 to 1000 lumens using the existing bezel housing, then why can't SureFire release a 500 lumen X300 that uses the same housing?

Upgrading to a new light is one thing, but needing to replace my Raven concealment holster, Safariland ALS duty holster, AND Safariland ALS tactical holster too?

You may not need to replace the ALS holsters. Looked at mine last night and it's completely open under the light. I suspect the longer Ultra will fit fine (but obviously haven't seen one to try).

We have an Ultra in our hands and have updated the webstore with the option.

If you have an existing RCS Phantom for an X300, you will need a new one for the Ultra.
