I'm a LEO, but I would love to attend one of these.

I agree that civilians get shut-out of many of these classes when educating the masses should be a higher priority than it is with most armorer's classes.

I would essentially be attending a class as a civilian since my agency thinks it's a better idea to buy their 2nd brand new SWAT truck and do a bunch of hug-a-thug "kicks-for-guns" type events than to even partially defray the cost of my attendance. I'll stop while I'm ahead.

IG, how will you approach the tools that are required? Will you have a list of min-man tools to bring?

    Count me interested.

Yes! Sounds Great... what would the minimum and max class size be? About how much per person?

I think it would be a great idea to hold a course like this. Especially since are willing to travel, that would make it easier for alot of people all around.

Things I think would be good for course:

    - Background of the AR15/M16/M4
    - Inspection Criteria/General Maintenance
    - Complete assembly/disassembly
    - Troubleshooting Malfunctions
    - Selection of proper tools/compents to use

Definitely would attend. I don't know enough specifically to say exactly what I would like in the curriculum though. That lack of specific knowledge really highlights why I would attend a class such as this.

Absolutely! I have wanted to attend one for several years. Many of the suggestions already mentioned would be great.

I would attend if it gave me some type of "certification"... that I could present to potential employers...

^^^This! There is a severe lack of knowledgeable armorers in my area. I've got the bench and all the tools. It'd be nice to have a piece of paper to show potential customers/employers that I know what I say I do.

As long as I didn't have to travel across the country and the course was reasonably priced (this doesn't necessarily mean "cheap") then I definitely would pay to attend an armorer's course.

I'm not sure I'm qualified at this point to answer your other questions of what's most important and what's least important.
