I have 6 total, 4 are .172" and 2 are .165", I have an email out to SAW to see what they say about the spring measurements, thanks for checking that for me.

Dallas reloading does not have the best reputation--to the point of

I've had at least 2 split cases in thess than 100 rounds of Dallas Reloading's .223. The rim and the bottom of the case extracted while the rest stayed in the chamber.

It's amazing that people spend countless hours a day online hopping from one AR-related message board to another, hours a day thinking about every optimizing an AR for themselves component by component.

Then they go out and buy questionable to crappy ammo.

I would rather shoot 1/4 as much and have confidence that the ammo is safe and reliable and that the gun works rather than having to conduct an investigation every time my gun malfunctions and figure out if it is a gun or ammo problem.

Thanks Ed, it was a lesson learned with this ammo. My main ammo is PMC M193 but at the time every place was sold out and I was desperate for some ammo.

Just got back from the range. I put 360 rounds of M193 through the rifle with zero malfunctions. Looks like it was the DRS ammo acting up. Thanks everyone for their help.
