    BCG identification

I got a BCG today with some parts and I would like to know for sure which manufacturer it is. What markings do I look for and where do I find them when finding out which BCG that I have.

Many manufacturers do not mark their BCG's. Your best bet it to post some pics.

Might be best to post some good pictures, someone probably would recognize the markings. Don't forget good pictures of the carrier, the gas key staking and AR15 vs. M16 notch to the rear and any logos will help.

There are a ton of m16 carriers out there with no markings but on the gas key hexs. (chinese does not mean it was not made in US, just where the bolts were made)

I have seen finishes ranging from silky to fairly rough and darker colored on carriers that in every other way look identical, even to how staked.

Similar with bolts. I have a bolt I was told is a Les Baer bolt, but no identifications. The ones with logos may not be made by who has the logo, but if you know where that company sources them you have a good idea.

Two more. In the first pic there is a faint F on the side.

I believe that's going to be an FN BCG.
