GTifosi, it will pass a function test.

AR15barrels, I'll have to check that out later. Four-day weekend and all.

Tweak, it always happens during the middle of a qualification so I've always been a little distracted from checking out my reset technique as it happens. And yes, it was all in semi.

t00sl0w, sounds like the exact same thing.

Meaning it's more likely to happen on a slow release than a fast one. You should be able to replicate this on the bench.

Unfortunately, the next time I'll be able to replicate this on the bench will be in Kandahar.

that's a terrible plan. next best is to judiciously lube the middle hammer hook and the under side of the disconnector hook and work them by hand. Are these auto or burst?

Any chance the disconnected spring is installed upside down?

I'll have to check that, along with all the rest, Tuesday. But I didn't remove the disconnect or springs when I disassembled it, so they should have been factory or depot installed.

I have had to fix guns right out of the flight case that were serviced in the depot and stored in the flight cases as supposedly ready to deploy...
