Not currently though I would have no problem with it if they did. My son likes to 'fit in' with his buddies so he carries the wood stock model 70. I mentioned it once and he said "Those are for killing people Dad".
I will 2-3 years from now when he can shoot.
Winning may not be everything, but the endorsements are better.
Based on the adaptability of the AR platform I think they are a natural first hunting rifle for our kids. I built an AR in 6.8 for my daughter when she was 11. Since then it has accounted for several deer by both her and I without changing anything on the gun.
I dont have any fudd guns in my house, so they dont have a choice.
i will with my grandson soon!he is only six and just started first grade!
I'm thinking of letting him try out my 6.8 this year. If he can handle it at the range then its his. Of course, aw, shucks, I'll have to get my own then dang it. My son will be 13* in January, but he's always been on the small side. So its just a question of can he physically hold it.
* Holy shit. Really? 13? Dude, I remember the shit I was up to at 13
In today's world one of the best things you can do for your child; Get them in Scouting, stay with them in the program, and encourage them to stay in.
my sons use a 6.8, running an EoTech. Simple, ergonomic, low recoil...
works just fine running SSA 110gr ProHunter loads.
