Don't have General privileges...so forgive my post here. This is important, as in never forget, and yet it being forgotten! Peleliu was a battle fought at a huge expense,and yet isn't remembered, The island was never used for military purposes after it was won. A lot of our boys were KIA, and not just KIA but left in the debris, blood, and guts, rotting, guns rusting with no one to take them out.The survivors fought in the midst of putrid, rancid, maggot infested hell for weeks. A huge debt is owed these Men and I find it to be a serious failure on our part as military firearms owners to not pay our dues to such brave young warriors.
