    assault weapon ban renewal

i looked and couldn't find another forum that seemed more applicable than this one to put this thread.

California's own, Diane Feinstein, has announced she will introduce a new AWB. this is NATION WIDE...NOT isolated to a state.

i would suspect, all the M4-M16/AK look-a-likes and clones will be included in this proposed ban.

we'd better get organized and ready for a "contact your representatives" campaign.

it worked here in California recently in the "Stop SB249" effort...at least temporarily.

if she is successful, we can kiss our M4-M16/AK look-a-likes good bye.

do NOT underestimate, or poo-poo this...she and key democrats are determined to pass this legislation
it is better to remain silent and be thought as being a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt...

    This belongs in general discussion.
Which you, OP, don't have enough posts to contribute to.

Mods, perhaps a sticky for the AWB threads.
They seem to be a reoccurring theme for new members.

Unfortunately for her, those Key Democrats don't include Harry Reid who would like to keep his job as Senate Majority Leader more than assuage DiFi's ego, several moderate Democrats who are in very real danger of losing thier election contests like John Tester and the pesky, trivial fact that the Republicans control the House by a good margin. It is a fact that there are more A Rated House members and A rated Senators now serving than at any time since the NRA started issuing ratings.

You realize she introduces this shit like EVERY YEAR SINCE THE AWB EXPIRED IN 04?

The Dems couldn't pass something like this when they had a super-majority in 08-10, they damn sure ain't getting it thru now.

Instead of panic buying, how about sending money to politicians who strongly support your right to bear arms? Lets increase our majorities instead of running around like chicken-little.

HM brings up a good point but it's also worth mentioning of how she uses this as a campaign issue rather than address the very real economic and civil liberty issues our country is facing today.

This is the least of our worries... This is dead on arrival. Period.

Lets focus on the next SCOTUS appointments, debt etc, etc...

We NEED and AWB. It's the only way any of our assets will have value when we retire.

The dollar will be about as valuable as a PESO! We won't have medical care.

Fartstein is looking out for our future!

No offense, but I get tired of these "Cry Wolf" threads. Clearly there is no way the Congress would take it up right now before the election.

Posting a panic thread about it just makes people scoff the next time a real threat of legislation comes along.

If you really want to worry about something, worry about BHO getting re-elected and what he might try to do by executive order.

It would almost be worth it to have them actually pass this ban and then go around and try an take away all the "assault rifles" that have been sold over the decades.

    That would be quality television.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.
