    Let's try this again..

Is it legal to have a short barrel on this setup?

That's not an ATF thing, that's a Commiefornia AWB thing.

Man, what is it with folks lately.

Thread 1: Let's get around an SBR by using a chin-weld

Thread 2: Let's get around an SBR by using a goofy-assed pistol grip that extends into a stock

If you want an SBR, pony up the $200 and get one. NFA is not a game and the BATFE doesn't play around. If you need a short barrel that badly, buy a pistol.

Good Lord. That's the Janet Reno/Hilary Clinton version of an AR15.

That more than anything so far deserves a spot in that new 'ugly AR' pic thread.

The word tannerite comes to mind when I see that stock.

Thats an utter abortion of a rifle. Not only would I be HEARTILY ashamed to be seen with it, OMG the merciless ragging Id get from my fellow shooters. And rightly so, imo.

Problem is that in some places if you want to shoot an AR that's what you have to run. Sucks,

I absolutely did not know that. Ive always heard of a "Kalifornia AR", but I truly dont think Ive ever seen one. That is ****in rediculous.
And for grown people to actually require a weapon to "look" safer or whatever the hell the reason is, well, I would have been THE HELL outta there a looong time ago.
Also, I really think Id have to go to another type rifle or "platform" before I bought or used one of those.
Ive never felt Ill-armed with an old 30-30, come to think of it.
Oh yeah, to the op, I WOULD NOT **** about with the NFA. They WILL have the last laugh, right or wrong.
One question. When you Kali boys go shooting, do the police mess with you much? Are all your ranges manned with a rangemaster?

That's not an SBR. It looks like a 16" barrel, but may be 14.5" pinned. As explained previously, it's a California AR to get around the assault weapon ban there.

I fully agree with people stuck in California abiding by the law by removing certain "evil" features from their rifle, like a bayonet lug, flash hider, and pistol grip.

I know it's not an SBR in the pic, but the OP asks if it's legal to run a short barrel with that setup (presumingly without registering it as an SBR). Hence, my comment.
