    If you lightly relieve the 45 degree bevel on the mount you'll let the can thread just a little bit more onto the mount and it'll hit the next click.

    Our riflesmith 400 grit sanded the matching surfact in the can itself... but it's the same concept.

    Brush on some Permatex COPPER Anti-Seize lubricant (be sure to get the copper it's good to 1800-F whereas the silver is good to 550-F or so...) onto the threads after every few removals and you'll never have this problem. In fact all threaded surfaces where there are either two different types of metals (aluminum to steel) or extreme changes in temperatures or high chemical (carbon) contact with the threads, should be coated with Anti-Seize.

    Permatex Item# 09128. About $12 from Amazon and will last you a lifetime.
