Interesting, I thought I was the only one who felt this.
I don't care for that little acute downturn at end of CRG's safety. I prefer them flat or more obtuse of angle.
I felt for the money they could have rectified that design for a better & more ergonomic/anatomically suited safety.
Love the gun & what it does.
Yeah we were discussing it in some other thread, I don't remember what members were participating, but I'm upgrading to a Wilson Bullet Proof soon.

If you are looking for a railed 1911 I'd suggest taking a look at the Dan Wesson Specialist. Dan Wesson has a very good reputation and their build quality is unmatched for the price. I own a TRP and just bought a Specialist that I'm waiting on, but have handled and shot other Specialists in the past. IMO the TRP is a nice gun and runs fine but the build quality of the Specialist far exceeds the TRP. The TRP is just a little too pricey for what it is IMO considering the Specialist is not that that much more money, has better fit and finish and is MIM free (MIM is generally not a problem but for this type of money the TRP has alot of it). About the only knocks I can put on the Specialist is that the oversized slide stop is very sharp and digs into your hand while shooting and I find it odd that a gun that is built for the purpose that the Specialist is built for does not have front slide serrations. I didn't want to muddy the water any more for you but wanted to give you another excellent option. The Specialist will be harder to find then the TRP currently but even used examples are starting to pop up.

I would start out looking at the Dan Wesson line as I own a Pointman 9, A 1976 Colt Gold Cup since new A WWII surplus 1911 that is a really awesome accurate pistol that with a ramp polish by someone that knew how to do it, shoots Speer flying ashtrays with 100% reliability [ I shot the last of them in 2009 as I found 30 bullets when cleaning the shop.] and 2 Wilsons I purchased in 2001 and 2003 [they are really nice]. The DW Pointman is so close in fit and finish and accuracy to the Wilsons that I can't help but recommend the Dan Wesson line to a buyer wanting a high quality 1911 at a great price.

I love my 9mm target. Tac driver with the right ammo. Mine hates Winchester white box 115 ball, but 105gr NT and 147 Winchester Ranger shoot very tight.
