Hey Okiegunner, I just posted a reply on your thread at THR.
M4carbine is the place for no bull shit AR advice. But that being said this website is not geared towards recreational shooters. Its mission statement says its here for information sharing between professionals who use ARs for a living and citizens who demand battle ready equipment. Because of that we dont view the lower end rifles here as up to snuff. Rifles that are made where corners are cut to improve profit have a higher chance of failure. To many here, that failure could cost lives.
Like Ive stated before on THR my duty rifle is a Bushmaster. On THR they are known to be great. Thats because the average AR shooter over there uses it for target and plinking and it works for that stuff. However here, where my experience (and others) with the rifle has been 4 broken lower reciever parts during the first week of using it, gas rings that came apart, and a non 5.56 chamber that pops primers when shooting M193, it is viewed as a big no go.
The DelTon rifles are viewed as being low end rifles here.
You can build a complete BCM rifle for a little under 900 bucks if you go with the blemished lowers.

No dude is going to get shot in the chest at 300 yards and look down and say "What is that, a 3 MOA group?"
