Ft Polk / Leesville area

Gents,
Got orders to Ft Polk and am wondering if there are any good places to shoot / buy supplies in the area. Thanks for any help

I've been stationed here for a couple years now. Shooting and hunting is really all there is to do down here.

Post has a decent range. They have some decent steel targets on the pistol range, a 500 yard rifle range, and some skeet shooting. The bow range is maintained pretty well too.

There is one or two places that carry powder and primers, but there's really no truly good places to get good reloading supplies. The only place that has a decent selection of firearms has horrible prices and even worse customer service.

Post isn't all to bad though and they have been working hard to improve it. Housing is pretty good, and the barracks are not bad anymore either. But you do have to drive at least an hour to get to a decent sized city to have fun or just get away.
