kmrtnsn, Skintop911 - Krylon is your friend! Thanks for your support guys. I really appreciate it. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, Micro users know other Micro users, so you guys are the best ambassadors I could have. In just 4 short days, we’ve surpassed 25% funding with 99 backers!

TOM1911 - It’s the right thing to do! If I can get thing off the ground, then I can explore other variants afterward, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves...

logan0916 - Thanks for the support!

SSGGlock - The date and the funding goal are fixed on Kickstarter. If we don’t reach our funding goal in the time I allotted, I’ll have to figure out another way to come up with $20k to pay for the tooling and initial production run. This will lead to delays, which means that the concept stagnates out in the public domain for a more well-resourced copycat to steal. Which would suck.

I backed, and if the multi-cam pledge gets added I'll back again just for funzies. I wonder if you could have the front flip down, and the rear flip up and latch onto the elevation adjustment cover. That would answer the people who think it obscures too much of the target to the left of the optic, and you don't have to worry about a magnifier in the front. Might be able to make both caps lower profile too since they wouldn't have to snap together.

That would ruin the name though. Shit, that idea is trash, leave it as it is now!!
I'm not cool. I just do this stuff for fun.

Joseph posted an update over on the Kickstarter page, showing a pick of Version 5 with the shorter tabs. It is in FDE, probably the second most popular color option over here so I thought I would share it,

Thanks JohnnyC and knmrtsn! I'm really happy with the latest prototype. I think the folks that get them in their hands this week will be too!

Some great response this week from top-notch shooters. When was the last time LAV had to pull out his wallet for something like this? Super appreciative of everyone's support so far, but we've got a long way to go! We'll be getting some impressions from folks getting prototypes this week, so it's about to get even more exciting!

Looks pretty good. Always wanted something other than the OEM covers. I'll be a "backer".

LtNovakUSA - Thanks for the support!

titanse05 - Rats. I've already sent the one prototype that I picked up this weekend out. I'll have more tomorrow, and I'll take a pic. I had it out at the range with some good folks this weekend. I specifically called their attention to the caps nested on the side, and they didn’t even notice them.

I've got a 3D GoPro camera that I'll try to rig up to give a binocular effect. It should show pretty clearly what someone would see behind the gun with both eyes open.

In addition to Larry Vickers ponying up to support the project, Pat Rogers has broken cover with an older V4 prototype. Both will have V5 this week, and I look forward to their feedback.

I dont even have a micro yet, but I still backed $25

I think its important to support small company innovations like this, esp for something everyone has been wanting

    I am backer #140!

Joseph, I'm sure that the covers will not be an issue when stowed but it may help some doubters get over the top and make the backer commitment.
