Swiss SIG 553 pistols have hit the US market

Ok word is the 553's are sold out ( not sure if that means the importer has no more but Michaels Machine does or everyone is sold out ? ) - they plan on ordering more

I'm glad I have my SBR'd 553 - it is a great addition to the collection and shoot like a champ

I burned the Gunsite scrambler down with it for my TV show TacTV with my first cold run- it is a sweet blaster !!

Are most of you guys throwing a steel lower on these or just sticking with the aluminum?

I am leaving mine aluminum. I actually like the aluminum lower and all my other Swiss 55x rifles have steel lowers. If you don't have other 55x with steel lowers, I'd buy a spare from Armati just to have it.

I am also leaving mine aluminum but am going to go ahead and pickup another steel lower. When I ordered mine right before SHOT they were flying out the door and Armati knew they were going to be sold out shortly.

I believe he said they were placing a new order with SIG. Really great guys to deal with. And I will warn you, when I placed my order they were kind enough to share a little of their future plans with me and all I can say is start saving now.

What they talked to me about has been previously unobtainable. Lets cross our fingers and hope they can pull it off.
