    JDI has “conversion kits”, which are simply barreled uppers with gas tube, gas piston, gas valve, and handguard....no bolt group. They are $1600-$1800’ish depending upon configuration.

    Oh, yeah...those. I was thinking of the used kits coming in combined with some rumors about proper US-made 550 series receivers for the Swiss parts kits.

    If that is the case why sign a contract to begin with. It is not difficult to include a floor in the contract.

    You cannot open a new car dealership in a small town and order five cars. You will loose the franchise, if you do not meet the minimum order each year.

    From what I understand, they will only import a few hundred units total. Now if they had structured it, say, bring in X amount per year- fine but that's not what they are doing from the sound of it. I can imagine K-Var, Steyr, or B&T would love to take over as an importer for them once whatever agreements expire.
