It will be one of the best training experiences of your life. Craig is one of the best instructors of any material I have ever worked with. The material will push you much more mentally than physically.

You will want to give up at someone point, but try to fight through it and you will be rewarded. the most important thing to bring is a positive attitude and a willingness to dig deep

As far as getting hurt, a roll of athletic tope wouldn't be a bad thing.

    Have fun!

Quoted for truth. ECQC was one of the best training experiences of my career. Money well spent, and if you are an LEO, consider it mandatory.

I'd maybe add a bandana or wicking beanie for helmeted evolutions, and maybe that Tough Mudder headband for one drill in particular.

    TriumphRat675's list is dead on.

I'd say "Have Fun" but you might not fee like you are while in class. I can honestly say it was some of the hardest work I've done at a shooting/fighting school. But, it was very rewarding. Treat yourself to a good stretch and a good meal at the end of each TD. Don't expect to get back to your hotel and PT.
The advice above is worth exactly what you paid for it.

I wish that I didn't live amongst knobs else I would try to get Craig out here to teach a class. I posted a class feeler (not specifically ECQC) on a...*ahem* "local subforum" and got nothing but requests for Magpul carbine classes. Oh well...

I live in DFW and end up traveling to Oklahoma for most of my training because there just aren't a lot of options down here...

I hope that changes now that it looks like Wayne Dobbs will be teaching more classes in the area.

Would you travel down to Houston for an ECQC class?

I'm going to try to get Craig down for an ECQC early/mid 2013 and hopefully an AMIS/IEK if he can fit it in...

Having some BJJ training will definitely be a plus. It's kind of a bjj/simuniton & live fire class. Very good training. He's a great guy and been involved in a lot of real world encounters.
