I would like to reiterate this sentiment. I don't have much experience with allen head fasteners on firearms, but I do have substantial experience with allen head fasteners in motorsports applications. A high quality tip from a reputable tool manufacturer (Snap-On, Blue Point) will go a long way in removing stubborn fasteners. A cheap tip or allen key or t-handle (including Craftsman!) will often deform under high-torque use, resulting in the fastener becoming rounded out and one is left with few options but to drill out the fastener. Do not apply heat to the driver tip or apply heat to the fastener with the driver tip inserted, as the heat messes with the integrity of the tool's temper and allows the tip to deform under torque. This has been my personal experience.

BCM is using good components. Level of experience is everything...I wouldn't do my own root canal even though I'm pretty damn "mechanically inclined".

I believe they are cup point set screws.
