I have both. Aimpoint T-1 is tough, small, and of course has much better battery life. I do like my EOTech as well. If I had to choose between them it would be the T-1 though.

In my case, it was a training/mental issue. I had become so used to the EOTech , that I had an ingrained bias towards anything else. I simply had to get used to the single dot and taking a second or two to adjust my hold over during close in shooting. On the EOs, you simply placed the bottom "T" or 6 o'clock tick mark, on your target and shoot. I suspect it is a training/mental issue for anyone going from one reticle to another, even in magnified scopes.

An instructor in the past once told me, it depends which you prefer; looking through a TV type screen, or looking through a tube.

For me, fast shooting is hampered with a tube sight, as it seems to have dramatically less peripheral vision, or depth of field (through the sight itself). It seems no matter how close or far away your eye is from the sight, or how much you try to keep both eyes wide open, it just seems to block more around the target. That seems to cause a delay in precision target acquisition.

Just my impressions. Again, I don't have hundreds of hours using either brand.

Maybe that's it. The proper mind set to make your brain conform to the sighting system in play, and, a lot of practice.

I was trying to decide on the same thing for my V5lw. I was thinking about the Pro just cause the price wasnt as bad as some of the other aimpoints. Is the micro just shorter then the pro or is the lens diameter smaller also?

Shorter, smaller lens and lighter... I run a similar rifle to yours a RA RUC14.5. If you want well balanced and lightweight T1 is the way to go.
