i have been watching this over and over again trying to decide. good video. i think the creator is a forum member here. the video doesn't exactly display the break or reset characteristics though. he is more or less simply using the triggers rather than displaying the characteristics of each. its the best thing i have found so far...........

OP, the good news is that you simply cannot go wrong with either. I don't normally give this advice, but it really doesn't matter. They are both going to be so head-and-shoulders above other AR triggers that it really doesn't matter.

I have shot both and found that the 3G version made it a little more difficult for me to adapt to longer shots (remember, my first time on this trigger and I didn't get to spend all day with it). I'm certain I could have adapted to it....and kinda wanted to because of the buttery smooth action and uber-short reset. BUT, the SD-E is also out-****ing-standing and was easier for me to take distance shots (100 yards and out) because I was more used to it (I run an SSA-E in my patrol carbine).

Either trigger will wow you. I promise. A call to GA should steer you in the right direction. They are fantastic folks who know their stuff. Also, just because you get a cute-sounding girl on the phone, don't assume that she doesn't know as much or more about AR trigger groups than you do.

    I have 2 SSAs, 2 SD3Gs and a S3G.
For the way you are telling us you shoot, the SD3G seems like the best choice. If you are concerned about the surprise break of the SD3G, you can get what is now called the SuperV which is a Super 3 Gun with a little heavier trigger spring.
If you can not get the Super V with the straight trigger, send me a PM and I will send you a Super V trigger spring as I have a few laying around.

Here's a quick little video I put together last night attempting to show some of the characteristics of four triggers: Geisselle SSA, SSA-E, Hi-Speed National Match - Match, and KAC 2-stage. I tried to show take-up, over-travel, any creep, break and reset. Then I attempted to show how quickly and easily a reset and trigger pull could be accomplished.

All 3G triggers now come with both light and heavy springs.

    Bill Geissele is "GOD"!!!
I just got finished installing the SD-E Geissele. As this is the first time with any trigger install, I read the included instructions a few times over and watched the Geissele video about five times.

Installation was a breeze, pretty straight forward. Getting the holes lined up took a bit of patience but not to difficult.

The trigger is worlds apart from the standard mil-spec trigger in my Daniel Defense M4 D7. 1st stage is so smooth and linear, then it hits a definite wall then "break"! Its really crisp just like my Dan Wesson 1911.
There is also a very audible and palpable reset.

I would suggest this trigger or any of the Geissele line to any and all.
Its kinda pricey but well worth it IMHO.

Thanks to everyone who recommended this to me.
