    Magpul Fixed MOE Stock

I have a quick question about the new magpul stock. I know it attached to an A1/A2 buffer receiver extension. Are these buffer tubes based on diameter? I.e. Mil-Spec/commercial lower diameters. I know the collapsible stocks have to match up but not sure about these types. It's not explicitly stated on the magpul website or the item detail upon purchasing, but I just want to check before i order.

There is no mil-spec vs. commercial-spec issue with rifle receiver extensions. A1/A2 are the same size extension as well.

I'm looking at one of those myself, once they come out with the FDE version.

Nope, there is only one size. The A2 uses a spacer to give it a little more length, you won't need a spacer for the MOE stock.

Here are a few pics I have laying around.....

This is wrong. Although there ARE no size differences, or at least there shouldn't be size differences on an aftermarket RE.... there are still many of the same material considerations when selecting an RE.

In short, go to brownells and buy a REAL COLT RE if you want the strongest part.

That looks so cool. Almost makes me want to buy a rifle length AR.

I must not have caught it, are these the A1 length or the A2 length? I prefer the A1 length for my tactical rifles and the A2 length for my precision rifle. I know it's only 5/8 of an inch. kwg
