It is very close. Look at it this way, the MOE lineup is an OEM based product and the manufacturers are the primary market.

As noted, no QD that I can see..there's a little hole up towards the receiver where you might be able to install some sort of QD socket?

Still just giving this fixed stock thing a try until an A5 buffer tube comes back in stock somewhere, but I figured I might as well try this "fancy" new Magpul version instead of a plain jane A1/A2 stock. Gonna take it out for a range trip Monday. So far I like it, but I'm no "gear reviewer" and not very qualified to say whether it's worth a shit one way or another..tho I can say the cheekweld is miles away from the feel of the Vltor Emod that it replaced. Much thinner and not near as comfortable. For some reason I like the solid feel of the fixed stock compared to the collapsible, but that's all in my head I'm sure, I had zero problems with the collapsible.

Here's a pointless, terrible quality picture (compared to Stick's) of it freshly installed on my lower..just got the upper back today from Mr. Robb Jensen with the new URX 3.1 installed and freshly blacked out SS410 barrel.

Sadly, I thought it was closer to the A1 length as well. When mine arrived, I was disappointed to see it is just a hair shorter than an A2. I was thinking I was going to replace my carbine stocks/tubes, but it's just too long for my taste.

I almost bought one on DSGarms 15% magpul discount, but dumped my cart at the last second.

I'm going to have to start a company to get a decent fixed stock.

    How does "Markpul" sound, boys?

I'm done rough designing my stock. I have no idea how to prototype something like this.

I might have to drive down to Vltor, kick the front door in, and demand some help.

I've been wanting to do this for a while... but kept thinking... SOMEONE will come out with a good fixed stock. But nothing....

My only problem was how to attach the stock without the butt plate screw. I solved it with only two proprietary parts. No changes to the RE.
