I run A1 stocks... they're just not as strong as the A2. And you don't enjoy any of the new features you see on the recent slider variants.
I'm going to sacrifice a Cav Arms A1 stock to mock up the idea this week.
Maybe I'm high on my own ass fumes... but I think there's a niche for an A1 length, fixed, "tactical" stock. Especially for guys in ass backwards states that don't allow sliders.

Have every confidence in your creative talents markm, but please do not make one of these:

A2 stock LOP is too long for some of us.
I've been eyeballing these since SHOT. I'm very close to starting a .308 AR build and have been trying to decide between one of these or a UBR for an 18" barrel. I think going this route would save quite a bit of weight, which would be a nice change against my other semi .308 (JAE stocked M14)
Yeah. This stock would be ideal for a scoped AR15/AR10. You want more LOP for eye relief in that setting....

Not to hijack the thread, but Techshop is a dream come true for prototyping. They're membership based fabrication centers. The one near me in Detroit has an industrial 3D printer, 3D Scanner, laser cutters, CNC machines, welding equipment, woodworking equipment ect. They also offer classes for C.A.D. etc to assist in design. They have locations in MI, TX, NC and three in CA. The VA is offering 2,000 free one year memberships to Veterans, and to my understanding there are still plenty left available; just call Techshop and ask about the veterans program.

Psalm 144:1 "Blessed be the LORD, my rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle"
Joshua 24:15 "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."
Cool. Thanks. I'll check that out tomorrow... although I'm not a Vet... if this thing shows any promise, I'll need to take it to the next phase.
