This is for you AC. I hope it brings a smile to your face.

I think you will approve and I wish you were around to talk about it.

Please refrain from commenting on the pistol in this thread. I posted it for AC to see because of his love of 1911's. I don't want to take this thread off track in any way. Thanks in advance.

As one of those guys who rarely reads tacked topics and finds them at the end, I can't stress how thankful I am that your situation has improved.

    AC.

Thank you for hanging in there. You are a true warrior. May the new year be better than the next and remember, fight on.

As if I need to remind you. Laugh and live, Chief.

D90king - That pistol would bring a smile to anyone's face. Thanks for posting the pics.

I hope you had a good day today, AC. A buddy is thinking about ordering a Wilson Combat 1911, and I sent him hunting for your threads on the CQB.

Thinking about you AC and yes that 1911 looks very well thought out right down to the serrations instead of checkering on the heel to avoid the dreaded shirtail lift and peek that checkering there can cause.

I haven't post any update in a while since there's nothing much to report. This is an excerpt from Mrs. AC's blog this morning:

Chuck is still holding steady and the pain meds do seem to be working better now. Hospice changed them for him and he is more comfortable than before. Thank you, Lord! He continues to sleep most of the day with little times of being awake and getting to spend time together. Yesterday, the morning was going poorly, but then around 1pm, he perked up, spent some time on his computer and had a visit from a friend. I'm always so grateful for those times! It's so encouraging.
We've been trying to enjoy all the time we have with the kids. Emily was supposed to have gone back to school yesterday, but is now going back on Sunday. Those few extra days are precious. Ben is back to school. Would appreciate your prayers for him. This has been a very difficult year with everything that is going on and he has one class that has been a real struggle. Matt & Betty are coming again on Wednesday for a week. It will be so great to have them here!

    Clarification:

Please do not think that Chuck's family is giving up because they're enlisting the help of the hospice to take care of Chuck. If offers around the clock access to medical care without having to take Chuck to the hospital, as he is adament about not staying at the hospital unless absolutely necessary. They are going full steam ahead with all avenue of medical treatments.

Thanks you all for your concerns and our thoughtful member/friend that picked up on the mentioning of the hospice.
