Beyond the meaningful anniversary there is also the tremendous joy you almost certainly feel just being alive to experience it along with the holiday. And also being that you're now near darn normal and healthy again must only enhance the exhilaration.

Lest we forget your strength during your darkest hours. Truly unparalleled in my humble life's experience.

Much appreciated, gents. May you all find cases of bargain-priced SS109 this weekend.

Glad to hear it, AC. May the shelves of your local stores be ever flowing with .22LR

Lana: Do you really want to open this can of trust-breachy worms after I just found you and my ex-boyfriend with a dead hooker in the trunk?

Well, that would at least give me an excuse to buy one of those rimfire Sturmgewehrs.

Ha! That's actually one of the prime reasons I haven't bought one yet (the other being my dissatisfaction with the same company's MP5 clone).

Just bought my son a M&P 15-22 and can't find a single friggin .22 round within miles. Grew up shooting them, once as plentiful as leaves on the bush in your front lawn even here in NJ. Now that we really need some nothing to be found.

Can't believe it but fortunately just managed to overcome. Still it seems rather ominous to some extent that this is where we now are regarding something as simple as .22 ammo.

Absolutely fantastic rifle brother. It really has the feel of the real rifle. Pardon my cheap homemade barricades in the background.

We've witnessed one miracle in this thread.

    And now you want another?

    Let's not get greedy.

Well, as if we didn't have enough going on around here already, I've just been confronted with the fact that my "process" (what the doctors call a tumor) is active again, and is re-growing at a fairly rapid rate.

This will likely mark the beginning of the end of my journey. I've already been blessed beyond measure just to make it to this point, so I don't say that with any particular sadness; just would have preferred to stick around for a while, all things being equal.

Still feeling fine, and the battle is not yet lost, of course; just don't have enough room in my head for everything that apparently wants to be in there.

Get along with each other out there.

I don't know what to say, AC, which hasn't already been said by many others in this thread.

I hate to hear this news although my experience as an oncology nurse certainly prepared me for this possibility. Again, I wish you and your family the very best and offer any support I possibly can provide. Godspeed and, though I'm sure you don't need to hear it from me, stay in the fight.
