Thanks for the update Sam. He'll fight through this but it stinks to hear about bigtime.
Thoughts and prayers sent as well. Keep up the good fight AC.

"If some scruffy dude tries to knock down my door in the middle of the night (granted, I'm not a fugitive from justice), I doubt that I would wait an inordinate amount of time to hear him make his little statement about being a "Bail Bondsman ..." or whatever before rotating my safety/selector to something other than the peace and tranquility position." - Army Chief
Prayers delivered for AC and his loved ones. I know his family and friends appreciate what an exceptional individual AC is. I have marveled at his kind, well-written, even-tempered postings across this forum. And for his superb example of humble, not in-your-face Christian witness. Hoping to read more soon.

The beasts of modernism have mutated into the beasts of postmodernism—relativism into nihilism, amorality into immorality, irrationality into insanity, sexual deviancy into polymorphous perversity. And since then, generations of intelligent students under the guidance of their enlightened professors have looked into the abyss, have contemplated those beasts, and have said, “How interesting, how exciting.”
—Gertrude Himmelfarb, On Looking into the Abyss (1994)
Thanks for the update Sam. Prayers sent for Chuck and family.
Very sorry to hear about AC's recent troubles. He is in my heart and my thoughts. I hope today finds him resting and recovering comfortably.
Prayers sent for AC and his family. They are in my prayers every day. Continue to keep up the good fight AC.
What can one man do? You never know until you try.
Prayer effort re-doubled.

If you spend much time around the guys who really, really know their craft, and who truly live this stuff, you tend to find that they are very soft-spoken and modest -- almost to the extreme. To my mind, that is a model worthy of emulation

At 7pm got this text message from Mrs. AC:
We're home, but he's still in a lot of pain. He's on an IV pump. Hospice is on the way here. Thank you for your prayers.

Very glad to hear the man is heading back to the house. It's a lot easier to get some rest at home.
