I was thinking about Chuck today. A friend at church brought a new holster for an old 1911 he carries. As he was showing off the sharkskin, I thought "That would have looked really nice with Chuck's Harrison 1911."

Wow, its been one year already. Just wanted to let y'all know. I rock my AC patch everyday on my backpack.

A year has gone by so fast and yet there has been so much that has been missed without Chuck being here. I think about Chuck quite a bit and wonder what tidbits of wisdom he would have given during our Stammtisches. We talked about hunting often and his experiences hunting in Germany. I would have loved to experience those traditions like he did. I don't think Terrie would mind me telling this but next week she is going hunting for the first time I believe with one of her friends. I can't wait to hear about her hunt! I'm sure Chuck will be with her and when she is telling us about it all he will be by her side with a smile on his face listening to every word intensely.

We all miss Chuck dearly and wish a great man wasn't taken from us so soon. As time passes, I hope Chuck's family and closest friends heal and their sadness turns into remembering the great times spent with a great man.
