Thanks very much for forwarding us the good news, Sam. I was thinking about AC and his family that night, knowing he enjoys football. I'm very happy to hear that he enjoyed the game.
Prayers sent. I pray God comforts him and gives his family and friends strength.
If winning were easy, losers would do it.
Keep in the fight brother.

From Mrs. AC:
Yesterday was another rough one. The gunk in Chuck's face and head was giving him trouble. Imagine the worst head cold you've had, and that is what he deals with on a regular basis. I think that yesterday's real struggle was mental. I've only seen him "depressed" about three or four times through this whole journey, but yesterday was one of those days when he was just so tired of everything. He is so amazingly strong, and as I've said before, does not complain. He soldiers on each day and fights through whatever battle he's facing, but occasionally, this thing knocks him down for a few hours. By bedtime, he'd regrouped and was reassuring me! Please pray for him today, that God would bless him with more strength and peace of mind. His pain is minimal, but the side effects can really be miserable. He's been fighting this hard since the end of July when the pain and discomfort first began. I still ask God each day for healing, and I've seen Him answer in so many ways already. My reading today brought me to Psalm 103. I want to share it today, as much for my own benefit as anyone who might read this. It says:
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, Who forgives all your iniquity,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
Who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's."
