    14.5 Lightweight midlength 5.45 AR build. 6lbs 14oz

    Changes:
    4/21/13

    - Added 12" Midwest Industries Gen2 SS rail & BCM MOD1 comp

    Need to install:
    + 1oz - Haley Thorntail mount
    + 5.2oz M600 Scoutlight
    + 1oz - Lasermax UNI-IR w/ remote pressure switch
    + 2.5oz KM2 weight

    - 1.2oz KX2C head weight
    - 3oz BA lightweight 5.45 barrel

    + 5.5oz total

Once I'm done it should be around 7lbs 3.5oz for a 5.45 NV capable rig.

    Changes:
    3/1/13

    - I've swapped the MTAC for my Aimpoint Micro for the time being (MTAC setup is fairly hefty).

    - CTR was swapped for a Magpul ACS-L, then Vltor IMOD. Much more comfortable cheekrest with a short LOP.

    - KAC micro rear with a YHM front.

Ballistic Advantage 14.5" middy barrel, melonited
    Melonited gas tube
    Perm ARPerformance 5x4 comp
    Geissele SSA
Nickel Boron BCG, bolt & barrel extension
    Raptor charging handle
    Troy FDE VTAC 13"
Burris MTAC + AD Recon mount
SF Scout mounted directly to rail.

    Lower is FDE Gunkote
Upper is sprayed with Coyote Alumahyde II

Built for cost-effective training. Rifle is constantly changing as my needs see fit. Currently, my new parts on the way aim to cut weight. As soon as the new parts are installed, a nice coat of coyote + highland aervoe will be sprayed on.

    Want:
Ballistic Advantage lightweight 14.5 5.45 middy barrel
    BAD-CASS-ST-SA safety
KM2 Vampire head (preferred over the new vampire head, did not like the ones at SHOT 2013)
    Bobro 30mm mount
    KAC Micro front
    IR designator (undecided)

Very nice! I don't know much about 5.45 rifles, but I have heard there are lot of problems with the mags. I was unaware pmags were compatible with 5.45 rounds. How many can you load in a pmag? Does it work reliably with that setup?

How good is that Ballistic Advantage stuff? Do their barrels shoot well? I think I need to give them a call and check availability on a 5.45 barrel and bolt.

Should check on 5.45 availability as well; I've heard the 7N6 is approaching the endangered species list.
