No, it's an ALG trigger. Does it look gold on your monitor, it should look silver.

Thanks, I use Spyder 4 Pro calibration with a dual monitor setup. One monitor stays calibrated, the other is a 32" which stays uncalibrated and with typical settings. This lets me see both how my images are supposed to look, as well as how most people will see them. I was also thinking the silver may have reflected the FDE underneath and picked up a goldish color.

I just installed the Umbrella Grip on my SR-15. So far i like the angle and feel in my hands, however it is very slick so some stippling is in the near future.

With a MOE grip for comparison

Cool deal Viper. Thanks for the pics and info. Mine should be here tomorrow along some other Rainier goodies.

Yeh it looks pretty slick. I am going to try a bicycle tube before I think about putting the soldering iron on it.

Another positive point on this particular grip is they added an extra solid surface on the top of the grip for the SR15's rear takedown pin detent spring so no mods required for SR15 or IWS lower owners.

Jaxman7 that is an excellent idea, i will give that a try first. Sorry about the quality of the cell camera pics, unfortunately it is the only camera in my possesion at this time.

I really enjoy Rainier, they have always had excellent customer service, but the flat $7.95 shipping bugs especially when the package has a shipping label for $2.15, i should have ordered some more stuff to make up for it.

Viper's correct it is quite slippery. I was practicing some shoulder to shoulder transitions and actually had the gun slip out of my hands one time. I do like the grip though. It is a fat version of the Gunfighter. I cured the slippery feel of it with the before mentioned bicycle tire tube. It may be ugly but it works great. This may be one time I actually don't stipple something my hands go on.

As Viper mentioned in his post there is a shelf on the top portion of the grip for those lowers (mine is a Vltor) that have the takedown pin spring located just behind the selector detent/spring tunnel. This makes life much easier than say a MOE or MIAD where (if you've done it before you'll understand) you don't have to 'rock' the grip into place to keep the spring from being pinched. So far I like it. I'll run it in a 3 gun match tomorrow so we'll so how it goes.

Here are some so so camera phone pictures.
