For the record, Wipeout is a water-based cleaner.

I'm not going to modify my cleaning jag or cut my own patches. Please recommend some patches that are good quality and fit properly. This is for DDM4V3. Thanks
The link you provided had a few reviews that said those patches were good but tight on the first pass(es). Are you sure your jag is correct and in spec? You do want a tight patch in the barrel as this will clear all the crap when you have the maximum surface contact you can.

I use Otis patches, but that is just out of convenience since I can get them easily. I don't think they are any better than what you can get at Walmart or what you have at hand. Littlelebowski's recommendation is a pretty good one. At least the foamy stuff will probably let you get your patch through the barrel and if it is water based, won't be a problem with FrogLube.

I find it hard to believe we have a 2 page thread about cleaning patches when we have numerous numerous stickies about cleaning.

OP- You are overthinking this go to Brownells get some regular GI 5.56/ 223 patches and be done with it.

58,000 members, it shouldn't be that hard to get some specific recommendations of exactly what even just a few people are using that fits properly. I am on my third different brand and size of "22-270" patches that are either to loose or to tight.

I'm sure you probably have figured out by now that 99% of us here don't even use a jag to clean with.

Ive also tried using a brush to push patches through. That hasnt worked either with the patches Ive tried. I guess I'll just buy every brand and size until I find what works since not even the 1% (584) are responding.
