    Endcap strike*UPDATE*

Need a little advice. I was out shooting today and when I went suppressed, I noticed my shift was a little more off than usual with the can. After initial inspection, I noticed this:

I guess my question is should I send it in or not. I can't tell if there has been a baffle strike or not.

You should be able to look through the can and see the baffles if light is on the opposite side.

If the Cap is the only damage, I'd chalk it up to a fluke. What ammo?

I really can't tell mark. It looks like maybe that last baffle but I'm really not sure.

I'd send it in to the manufacturer for full inspection.

It looks like it could've hit a baffle. I'd send it back to the factory.

After looking at the first pic again. It definetely did.

You should be able to look at it closely and see if there was a strike. Are you 100% sure that the mount is on correctly? I would probably just shoot it because if it needs to replaced you will have a little wait.

I believe, at the very least, it hit the last baffle. The "little wait" is what I was afraid of. Yes, it was attached correctly. I triple check every time just to be sure.

Let me explain. I assume that it is an AAC suppressor. If the end of the barrel where the threads are is not proper then the mount will not sit right and can cause the strike.

It very well could have been the ammo. In any case only you can decide what the best course of action is.
