    $500 Budget

I know this has been done to death but. I have $500 that I would like to spend on a high capacity handgun. I am not including accessories in the budget.

I am looking for something with 13 round mag or better and something with a good finish that would be suited for cc.

I have looked at the TriStar C100. Looks well made with the Aluminum frame it is light, 24 oz. Chrome plated. Just over $400 out the door.

The Caracal C looks good holds 15 rounds. Also 24oz. Under $500 including tax & transfer. Nobody seems to have one in stock and have not been able to look one over.

What else should I be looking at?

500 bucks puts you comfortably in the used Glock 17/19/M&P9 range. I say go with one of those 2.

Perhaps you overlooked one of your best options - a Glock 19 or Glock 17.....

    Easily found under $500....

Ditto the Glock (or several other well known striker fired polymer pistols)

You can find a new Glock or M&P for $500. I just picked up a new M&P 9mm FS for $525 and not at the best priced shop.

I have looked at the Glock 19. If I could find a used one that was priced better then a new one I would probably buy it. Used Glocks are not that common in eastern TN.

    ...really?

Order one from online, provided you find a gun shop that won't screw you with the transfer fees. Gunbroker has plenty- Aimsurplus and summitgunbroker.com periodically have police trade in 9mm glocks.

Glock 19 is always a good choice. Not my choice, but a good one.

My wintertime CC is a Sig 228. You can find a used one for less than $500.
