    American Defense or Larue?

I was thinking of swapping out the Aimpoint pro mount for one of these

    American Defense AD-68H

    Larue Lt150

are they both about the same quality?

I think they are interchangeable as far as quality. I like how the LaRue has a place for battery storage.

If I can suggest another option though...Bobro makes a great mount. I can take a pic if your interested, it's what I put my Pro in.

    Which one is lighter weight?

I think they both are about the same price.

I own mounts from both companies. Unlike markm, who I normally agree with 99.9999% of the time, I prefer LaRue mounts over the others. I can't help it, my wife is addicted to Dillo dust like it was crack and I end up buying a mount about every time the LaRue ball-cap of the quarter disintegrates in the washer. Mark LaRue keeps my household in a delicate equilibrium.

I try to avoid giving that guy business as well. It's sad really, because his company really does provide great products, and customer service.

But the way he acted (acts?) on AR15.com is unacceptable.
