    Old Time Fire Power

May be a bit old for this crowd, but I think its one of the greatest weapons made.

How can any red-blooded American not love a BAR?

    Mmmmmmm.......................M1918A2 goodness...............

I wish Ohio Ordnance still had some of the semi auto closed bolt M1918A3's.....(for less than $3K....)

At firearms instructor school at Alameda County SO, I got to run a mag on slow through their BAR in 2-3 round bursts. The whole mag group could be covered by a quarter at 50 yds. I loved shooting that mag, wished I ahd brought some '06 ball to run through it.

I've been collecting Garands and stocking up on M2 ball for a few years.
Slow rate on it is about as fast as you could pull the trigger. Full is always more fun.

Not too old for me and I concur! I'd use my 12 ARs as tomato stakes for one of those. I could have bought a NIB Marlin-Rockwell in 1994 but our AWB kicked in before I could get the money up. Since we still have an AWB, no select fire is allowed. Damn.

Nothing out of date about that. Throwin' 30-06 steel on target can NEVER get old. My dad had one in Korea '51 - '53 and said that it was awsome to behold. He stood 6'3" and weighed maybe a buck fifty at the time but said he never minded carrying the extra weight. Too bad we can't reintroduce Haji to these . Nice weapon!

I bow down to your BAR. I hate to ask how much that cost you. I saw one on an NFA board that was running 12K

That BAR is the shiznit! It may be old, but nobody in their right mind can challenge the effectiveness of M2 ball. Jeff Cooper wrote once that the BAR "played upon a squad of enemy soldiers like a blowtorch on tissue paper".

    That says it all.
