I figure they weren't making much profit on the mono uppers and such. I can only think of a few companies who actually used them.

On the other hand, there are a metric ton of companies who use conventional lowers and uppers made by them.

They still can't make a midlength though?

    They have no reason to.
Don't get me wrong, I like mid lengths as much as anyone else here does. But when it comes down to what makes a good fighting gun, middy vs. carbine gas is so far down on the list that it isn't even going to register.

Yeah, I agree and understand...but a monolithic upper comes first? haha, that is what I find funny.

I see a Monolithic upper as far more beneficial than a mid length. Of course I own neither.

Hmmm, just never thought of monolithic as being one of those things to really benefit the system. But then again, a same could be said about a midlength but I really do like my BCM 16" middy and wouldn't have any other on a 16".

Cool to see Colt starting stretch out a little though.

Vltor's VIS is similar. Though I wish it had the removable rail sections. They also have a mid length at 9" and an extended mid length at 10". If they weren't so cost prohibited I would do all my builds with mono uppers. Loved the Mega ones and I am sad to see them go.

Lol! Figures they'd come out with this. I just picked up an anodized 6920 and plan to shave the FSB for a long free-floated tube.
Before you suggest that licensing, background checks, or other restrictions for the 2nd Amendment are reasonable... Apply those same ideas to the 1st and 4th Amendments. Then tell me how reasonable they are.

From the pics they look pretty nice. I can't wait to see one in person.
