I've done bird shot at clays. 00 at paper and steel. And slugs as far as 400 yards. Didn't hit, but came really close with my bead front sight..

Agreed on the slug accuracy, but 400 yards? I thought I was doing good with COM hits at 50 yards.

We were really just having fun. Only two guys hit the 400 yard plate. One was a SEAL who just left the teams 7 months before and the other was my buddy with a 24" barrel and an Aimpoint. The rest of the students, me included, could not hit it. All of us hit the 125 yard plate with no problem.
