The brightness knob failed on mine, I would turn it up all the way and just get a faint dot.

    Aimpoint fixed it free.

T1 failure requiring a trip home to Sweden. Slow comms with AP. Slow return time. Free repair, though, despite being out of warranty.

M3 that seems to use batteries more than it should. That's going home soon too.

I had a battery on a T-1 that was only a few months old go out. I'm inclined to think it was the battery rather than the optic, as the optic is still running strong.

I've never had an Aimpoint fail on me, but I have had the batteries fail. I had a battery that was in the optic for less than a year on an ML3. I pulled it out of the case at the range, and the dot was dead. Flipped up the BUIS and continued with my day. Now I pack a spare battery as well as the BUIS.

    I'm thinking of building a optics only carbine....no irons...just a m4 aimpoint.
oh....and this will be used as a simple farm pickup truck weapon.

Other than saving the money personally I would put a set of troy, magpul or your favorite flip-ups. That said, how many hunting rifles have no BUIS? Just MHO.

We had the rotary switch on an M3 fail in an EAG class. Pat Rogers lent us aT-1/LT660 to finish the class.

As it was still under warranty, I was out shipping to get it to Chantilly and Aimpoint repaired and shipped on their dime.

I saw a t-1 strip its mounting screws and basically fall out of the lt660. According to the owner, it had seen like 20,000+ rounds before that.

I had a NIB M4S w/a faulty rheostat right out of the box and witnessed an M2's battery fail at the range (poor guy didn't have a spare battery handy). Other than that, every other Aimpoint I've owned or seen has been 100%.

A few years ago I had a T-1 fog up completely at Pat Rogers carbine class. It was raining the whole time and the seal was bad. It was still useable with both eyes open but I swapped out for my back up rifle and finished. Pat gave me a contact number for Aimpoint and it was there and back, repaired within a month. The rep told me that at the time the bad seal was the first one he had back for that other than military test units. Since then it's still going strong..
