    Brass Ejecting question

My SBR is ejecting brass forward to about the 1 o'clock position. Some times it throws it 6 inches, some times it throws it 2 feet. My other AR's eject brass towards the rear at about 4-5 o'clock.

Is this a sign that I need to perform maintenance on the bolt?

If you've beefed up the extractor (Wolff extractor spring and/or installed a D-fender or Crane O-ring) and/or installed a heavier buffer or hydraulic buffer it will likely eject forward.

My 11.5" and 14.5" SBRs both eject forward, both have Enidine CAR buffers, Wolff extractor springs and Crane O-rings.

I've got heavy buffers in them all but my SBR is the only one that ejects forward.

The slower you make it cycle (heavier/hydralic buffers) and the stronger you beef up the extraction the more and more it'll eject forward. It'll also not brass up the brass deflector much at all.
