Vltor cannot even get the Keymod out in the same year they said it would be out, how long, exactly, are mounts scheduled to take, and how long will they really take? I love Vltor's products, but they really seem to CONSISTENTLY drop the ball on delivery date.

Sorry I was referring to the vis -km
Noveske is trying to pimp out their key mod

Gotcha, Noveske has treated me right on this deal, though, my question now is about future purchases, not my current order. Again, Noveske has taken care of me.

i'm not referring to mounts made by vltor, but by other manufacturers that will be making KM-compatible mounts. you'll see them at SHOT.
when the vltor VIS-KM comes out, noveske is slated to get the first batch before anyone else.

Awesome! I certainly hope it is compatible with the 55W flux capacitors that will surely be the standard by then.

I guess I'm being a bit of an ass, but Vltor makes great products but seems to take FOREVER to deliver, and keeps saying "tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow" instead of just saying "Hey, it's going to be 8-12 months, but this WILL hit the street" and then making good on it within their time-line. Or they could just not announce it at all until it's about ready, like Surefire is starting to do with their suppressors, namely, the SOCOM. I thought that was a class act. I can buy one today, and they were only announced a about 6 months back, and for an item that requires paperwork for transfer and manufacture, that's pretty tits that it's sitting on dealer shelves right this second.

Yes, i agree - it'd be nice. But such is manufacturing and real life, when sometimes the best laid plans go awry.

Pushing a date back week by week is not a well laid plan going awry, it's blind optimism meeting reality. I could understand 1 or 2 setbacks, a few months apart, because of course life happens, but to continually weasel the date back? Again, I love Vltor's current products and know they put out top notch gear, I just hate how they have made a name for themselves as esteemed purveyors of vaporware.

what dates are these? are they something that vltor has published/promised, or 'estimates' from dealers or folks on the internet? where exactly is this weaseling going on?
