I bought a PSA upper with the FN CHF SS barrel a while back and wanted to post my results with it.

It's a PSA built upper with a 16" FN CHF barrel. I shaved the FSB and installed a 13" Troy Alpha rail. The lower used for testing is also PSA with a Geissele SSA-E trigger and VLTOR A5 stock.

All shots were at an indoor range off a rest at 100 yards. The scope was a Leupold VX6 1-6, set on 6x. The lighting wasn't good and the intersection of the crosshairs in this scope is pretty thick. With better light and a better reticle the barrel would've had a chance at being more accurate, but I obviously can't know if it actually would have been more accurate.

These shots weren't fired rapidly, but I didn't take a lot of time with them either. I didn't worry with letting the barrel cool between shots, or too much between groups. My main purpose for this upper is competition so I wanted to see what it'd do with a steady rate of fire that I'd use on a stage.

I have 416 rounds on this set up without any problems. I haven't cleaned it, just fed it Mobil 1.

Apologies for the necropost, but any further insight into the value (or lack of it?) of having a CHF stainless barrel?

PSA has had their 16" midlength FN 410 Stainless CHF upper on sale (at what seems on the surface to be a pretty good deal) for most of January, and it isn't going out of stock, so there must not be much of a demand for it.
