    My thoughts, precisely.

DPMS's quantity of sales is in no way a reflection of quality. Pretty common knowledge.

Hopefully you get your money's worth out of yours.

That's all I was saying THANK YOU. I used colts overseas ,shot over priced BCMs and built a AR out spare parts and minus a new barrel and bcg and worked fine . ARs ar parts guns and it matters what parts you use. My colt M4 I had over's sea's was junk compared to my DPMS AP4. MY DPMS AP4 is a tac driver less than 1" at 100yds

The first AR I ever bought was a DPMS for like $600 off a friend. I ended up selling every part of that gun minus the lower receiver and turned it into a killer bullet launcher.

250 rds and no FTF's/FTE's? Sounds like a proven gun to me.
Happy Friday everyone. This thread is going to make my day.

This strikes me as an attempt to mimic the intermediate length gas systems via a shortcut. Since DPMS doesn't have access to the proper gas tubes and they would be more expensive to procure, they just went with the readily available rifle length tubes. I suspect that it would be ammo & temperature sensitive, unless they really opened the gas port up. Even then, it would probably remain sensitive to weaker ammo and cold temps.

Yes they did from .70 to .113 and they do make several mid length gas system rifles

If you read my post I said Colt produced more I didn't say anything about commercial sales. Oh and my OVERPRICED BCM cost less than that DPMS. My BCM groups 1 MOA and doesn't have a way over gassed gas port.
