Rear pin backing out
Quote:
When using this method, I only need to tap the first 1/8" of the hole, enough to set the set screw in the receiver so its flush with the bottom, right? I've never taped anything, but it doesn't look too hard.
It isn't hard to do, just remember to be very careful and don't force the tap. If you break it off, you are screwed as far as I know. I'v done the set screw on all of my rifles and my sons. It keeps everything where it needs to be. Your local hardware store should have the set screws and tap, make sure to get a tap handle, it makes things so much easier. I don't remember the size right now but it is a standard size screw, not metric.
