New aquisition: 1995 Marlin 336 CS

Though it's not an assault rifle (none of our rifles are, ARE they?!) I recently picked up this 1995 Marlin 336 CS locally from a gun shop near my house. The sticker price was already a great deal, but I managed to negotiate almost an additional $100 off! I have always loved the looks of the 336, and have wanted one ever since I borrowed my father's gun on a hunt about 10 years ago. It's chambered in 35 Remington...a fine round for deer here in eastern NC. It appears to have been fired and carried very little. The bluing and stock finish is like-new and there is only one very small ding on the stock. Rifling is crisp and the bore is bright. No scope or red-dot for this baby...she'll be my iron-sighted deer slayer for use in the woods or less than 150 yards, alongside my .308 scoped bolt gun for longer shots. Anyway, I just figured I'd show her off

    Beautiful. Congrats.
    I have a 30-30 336.
Underated carbine. They pack a punch, that's for sure.
